QE II A Wii Fan
Ludica is very happy to report that a story in the British edition of People Magazine has revealed that Queen Elizabeth II is a Wii fan. Apparently, the "Q Wii N," as they are now calling her, has developed a taste for the Nintendo Wii, particular Wii bowling. If this isn't an indication that the Wii has hit the broadest mass market imaginable, we don't know what is!
There was a recent article in GameBiz Daily where a writer made the statement that the 60 year plus market for things like the Wii, BrainAge, etc. "was not sustainable." I found my jaw dropping at this statement. It may be amazing that todays' seniors are enjoying themselves with computer games, but I guarantee that as today's younger gamers age (yes, they WILL) then the market for older gamers cannot help but expand. I think the best thing is that we didn't have to wait for that and that games for a wider audience ARE being made now.... queens and commoners alike!
